GBF'S 100th POSTISODE!!!!

The year was 2012. Fresno was bursting with new businesses and big plans. The local blogosphere had exploded as the city began to revel in its own greatness. There was only one problem.
I didn't like some of the things that everyone was crazy about.
And neither did my friend Sny Sneedly.
Every time we saw each other, we'd say, "We should start a blog!"
And then one day we did.
GBF's original page header. When The Editor took over she redid all of our graphics.
Our blog quickly garnered attention---not because what we were saying was necessarily true (even though I still stand by a lot of our opinions)---but because we were being jerks. Fresno didn't understand that, like an abusive boyfriend, the best way to deal with us was to cut us out.
And then about 2 months later we ran out of time to keep up with the blog. GBF lay there like Han Solo in carbonite.
Years passed. Calendars rotted on the wall.
Sny kept saying, "Come on man! We gotta start back up with the blog!"
"I don't have time," I replied.
"Then find someone who does!"
Then one day I met The Editor. Here was a woman I could trust with the blog. She shared all of the same thoughts and ideas that Sny and I had, but she was so nice about it. She had a way of spitting in your face and when she was done you'd ask her for more.
So I reluctantly took up the blog again for a month or two to get it going. Once it was ready, I handed it off to The Editor. She even ghost-wrote a few posts for me to get in the groove of things.
I couldn't be happier with the direction that she has taken the blog. People seem to be really responding to her. Thanks Ms. Editor for all the work you've done and congrats on getting us to 100! Here's to 100 more!
(The Editor's note: Yeah...I'm not woman, Mike.)
And, you know, when Sny died, I wasn't sure the blog was going to make it. But Sam Joaquin has been more than a suitable replacement.
And to Perry, Sylvia, Abby, and Zara: thanks for all you do.
Also, I'd like to officially announce that I will be returning to GBF! I will be GBF's Sports Writer, talking about local sports and what not. I think I have enough time for that.
And one last bit of business. You voted and the best GBF post of our first 100 is....
Congratulations to Zara Arboleda Jr. for writing this outstanding piece of journalism.
