Downtown Buildings That Would Make Great Bars (Part 3): Luftenburg's Bridal

by Perry Champlain

So far, my selections have been either completely unreasonable or totally practical. Today's selection will bridge that gap.

Should today's building get turned into a bar? Hells-to-the-hiz-yeah! Will someone put up the capital needed to do so? I would almost certainly say no.

But if they do, I want 10% of the profits cause this thing will be off the chain!

Today's building is the old Luftenburg's Bridal building.

At this point, you might be thinking, "Perry, this building is pretty boring looking." And you'd be right. A building doesn't have to look great to be a bar. This building has so much potential it's practically bursting at the seams (much like many of the brides-to-be that used to squeeze into some wedding dresses at this place.)

But don't take my word for it. Let me show you a picture. You can click on it if you're not seeing what I'm seeing.

Do you see what I see?

ROOFTOP BAR OVERLOOKING GRIZZLY STADIUM!!!

Have I not always said that Fresno loves its patio spaces? This would be the ultimate patio space.

And maybe you can't go to Grizzly Stadium anymore because you threw up on a kid after having one too many on Tecate Thursday...

Why has no one thought of this!?! I bet Tioga Sequoia is kicking themselves right now. I don't know why the City of Fresno doesn't pay me to think this stuff up!

Now if only that building had been sitting empty for 3 years...
