Review: Central California Conservatory of Visual and Performing Arts

by The Editor

Where to begin where to begin where to begin?

First, let's look at their logo, which is pictured above ^^^

I mean, I made our logo. It took me less than 5 minutes. It's not fantastic. BUT, I'd put it in a fight with this logo any day of the week and expect it to win. And that's sad because we're not a school for the arts. If you're going to teach people to do art, you should at least demonstrate either a) an ability to make good art yourself, or b) an ability to discern if something looks nice. Choosing this logo tells me that you're a waste of my time. It looks like it was made in the late 80s. But it wasn't.

And even if it was...update that shit.

As for everything else going on with these guys...I'll just quote from their website.
Think of Central California Conservatory as “Juilliard West” with the added component of visual arts and more. That should help you to begin to imagine the future of this organization.
Yeah. Ok pal.
Keep in mind that an arts conservatory has an attractive enigma to it. Conservatories are cool. They’re top cabin. They’re prestigious.
Umm...no they're not.

And "top cabin" is not an expression.
Converting the entire Fulton Mall area into the main campus of Central California Conservatory is the plan.
You do know that the Fulton Mall is getting torn up AND even if you're talking about Fulton Street, literally no one else has that vision for it.
The vision is clear. For non-student visitors, whether Valley residence or tourists, the enjoyment of the downtown and extended area city-wide Central California Conservatory campus will provide every element of entertainment and enjoyment desired.
First of all, I think you mean "residents", not "residence".

Second, every enjoyment? Including drugs and hookers?
In a Disneyland-like atmosphere that is safe for families, visitors can enjoy numerous galleries, shops, restaurants and cafes, plus venues with live music lining the parkways and more.
 Dafuq?

They go on to say that they envision Fresno to be the Arts-center of the world, which could happen but probably won't. And it definitely won't happen with these guys leading the way. They should just rename themselves "Central California Conservatory of Broken Dreams".

Cause that's all it's ever going to be.
