Parker
by Mike Schnauz
There's not much to say about Parker. And by that I mean that I could go into some long speech about Parker, but instead, I'll tell a story.
In December, I was volunteering at a Christmas Dinner for the homeless, which was a whole big event that not only provided dinner but entertainment and crafts for the kids. To ensure that there was a good flow between acts, an MC was provided. But there was a problem.
This guy sucked.
When the performing acts ran out, there was still time left before Santa was scheduled to arrive, so the MC decided to gather everybody together for the singing of Holiday songs, none of which he could sing in key or knew the words to.
God bless him for not giving up, though. He just kept singing into the microphone even though nobody would join him. People started getting mad, and one guy even yelled at a kid.
Then, when all hope was just about lost, Parker arose from the crowd, got on stage, and started dancing.
Next thing you know, the stage is covered in kids dancing to these horrible renditions of Holiday classics.
Parker saved Christmas for hundreds of homeless children.
True story.

P.S. This begins a new feature called "Tales of Parker"
